Plus users are the homeless of OpenAi. Poor usage, 5h limits and resets that worth nothing. I have 3 banked reset I can't use, I wouldn't ever consume even 50% weekly with this small 5h limits, I should use codex 7/24 waiting each time for 5h limit restore.

1. I suspect the poll is about predictability more than quota size. I plan intensive Codex sessions around the next renewal; below ~20% I switch to lighter models and reserve ~5% for emergencies. A hard 5h cap can break that planning, even with 2x weekly usage.

I really doubt I'd be able to use 2x my weekly if a 5hr limit was imposed. I'm not using codex 24/7! It's more about dense coding sessions. Also, with all the random resets, the weekly limit is often irrelevant anyways. a 5hr limit however, would be immediately very relevant.

Counterpoint: there's a lot of value in not having to do cartwheels to maximize usage around 5h windows. 5h limits make resets way less valuable. Basically if you average one reset per week then no 5h limit puts you ahead.

Since Opus 5.5, even Claude Pro ($20) handles real work. Almost three weeks in, I can't use up the weekly limit. 8-10h days, never past 83%. The bottleneck is the 5-hour window, not the weekly cap. Two sessions a day don't reach 1/7 of the weekly quota. I'd need 15-16h days.

We have lives outside work. When we find time to code, we need uninterrupted sessions. Being blocked for hours is frustrating. A weekly quota would let us manage our time and usage freely, without forced breaks. Token costs and limits change, but flexibility matters most.

after OpenAI introduced the 5-hour limit, I’ve barely been using it. Even when the usage gets reset, I can’t use up the full allowance before it resets again. remove the 5-hour limit and give resets only through reset tickets instead then you will get more people to stay on Plus.

Nobody trusts the weekly limit; there is no other possible reason. For me, it is absurd: two intensive days with a 5-hour limit waste my weekly limit, so why would I want a 5-hour limit?

It’s hard to use weekly if I’m capped 5hrs at a time, i would have to be working outside work hours. 5hr limit even worse for my personal account, as I want to hit usage hard on the weekend but hit the 5hr limit when that’s when I want to use the majority of my useable

I'm sorry but the 5h limit before it went away was like 10% of weekly or something on the $200 plan. It was easy to still hit the weekly a few days into the week. It would be too easy to prove if they made the weekly unreachable.

Your reset mechanism is an absolute disaster. Whether it's the delayed reset logic or the completely useless Plus reset crippled by the 5-hour limit, both sides are a mess. Until you actually fix these core restrictions, this feature will forever remain pure trash.

Thanks for the banked resets, I cannot use them fast enough on my plus plan. GPT 6.1 Sol medium is perfect for the 5 hr usage limit. You are leaving money on the table. I would buy banked resets at for $5 on a plus plan. My budget is $40 a month for feeding this hobby.

Plus users cannot fully benefit from a reset of their weekly usage limits because of the five-hour usage cap. This restriction can also prevent users from completing their tasks.

Let me suggest a improvement, using reset should not push the weekly limit. Because of these resets and the 5hr limit I’m not never able to fully utilise my plus plan.The audience need improvements that are actually useful to them instead of things that are irrelevant to them.
