Modelo no encontrado en el chat

I'm getting a similar issue, but the error says "Model not found" instead. Is this related to the same problem?

What are you doing, Tibo? We keep running into the "model not found" issue.

@Asta0929 en X ↗ · 15 oct 2026

Hi Tibo! I’m experiencing a “Model not found” error in the Windows desktop app. It happens with both GPT-6 and GPT-5.6, regardless of the reasoning effort selected. Every message fails, while the web version works normally. I’ve also seen other users reporting the same issue.

What’s going on? The "model not found" error that Chat threw up this morning still hasn’t been fixed. Are you trying to frustrate your long-time users?

My GPT sessions are all showing "Model not found"? Why is this happening?

Why does Chat mode keep showing “Model not found”?

@zaneliu26 en X ↗ · 15 oct 2026

Please fix this. I have a problem when using the chat on computer which responds “Model not found ”.Chat on iPhone is ok

Fuck this, Tibo. ChatGPT web is broken—"Model not found" on every model and chat. Paying users can't work, yet you're celebrating another Codex reset. Spare us the self-congratulatory bullshit. Fix the damn product. I'm sick of the hype and seriously considering Anthropic.

No matter what message I send or which model I select (5.6 / 6 / etc.), it always returns "Model not found" with a Retry button. This started right after GPT-5.5 was retired on Oct 14. Web version works fine for many people, but the desktop Chat mode is completely broken.

Hi Tibo, ChatGPT web chat is returning “Model not found” with 5.6 selected. Other users are reporting the same issue today. Is this a known issue? Any workaround or ETA for a fix? Screenshot attached.

@choihexi en X ↗ · 15 oct 2026

So when do you plan to fix the "model not found" issue in the desktop chat?

@maiweisi60 en X ↗ · 15 oct 2026

Seeing a "model not found" error in the chat mode. Is this a known issue or something on my end?

@jing572777 en X ↗ · 15 oct 2026

Day 9 for paying users: Chat returns "Model not found" on every request. Picker shows GPT-6, GPT-5.5 isn't selectable anywhere, logged-out free tier works fine. Small detail, but we've heard enough feedback about power users running out of patience.😅
