Hi Tibo! I’m experiencing a “Model not found” error in the Windows desktop app. It happens with both GPT-6 and GPT-5.6, regardless of the reasoning effort selected. Every message fails, while the web version works normally. I’ve also seen other users reporting the same issue.

Fuck this, Tibo. ChatGPT web is broken—"Model not found" on every model and chat. Paying users can't work, yet you're celebrating another Codex reset. Spare us the self-congratulatory bullshit. Fix the damn product. I'm sick of the hype and seriously considering Anthropic.

Problem
No matter what message I send or which model I select (5.6 / 6 / etc.), it always returns "Model not found" with a Retry button. This started right after GPT-5.5 was retired on Oct 14. Web version works fine for many people, but the desktop Chat mode is completely broken.

Day 9 for paying users: Chat returns "Model not found" on every request. Picker shows GPT-6, GPT-5.5 isn't selectable anywhere, logged-out free tier works fine. Small detail, but we've heard enough feedback about power users running out of patience.😅
