Problem
Hi @thsottiaux, Codex on Windows displays the in-app browser page, but browser automation times out after 30s. Logs show “No ChatGPT browser route is available for browser session”. Multiple app restarts haven’t helped. Is this a known issue?

That’s considered meaningful to who? Chrome and desktop controls just broke and my Chat says it’s on your end… I hope a banked reset is coming

I would love for my Dot to be able to use the Codex browser. It can't figure it out and has really slowed things down for me.

there was an update earlier, dot report that local file access now works, but some existing Work chats remain inaccessible, and the latest browser test failed to start

Problem
Codex desktop browser fails on 7 public sites: “saved browser permissions could not be verified” / “Browser Use could not request permission.” Manual opening exposes a tab’s title/URL, but page-content reading still fails. Reproduced Oct 6, 2026.
