Weekly reset drains quickly

Okay my reset is already used up on the mid tier Max plan. Is anyone else seeing a big change with how fast the "weekly" usage gets used up?

Appreciate the reset ! but as a Plus user, I hit the weekly limit way too often. Honest question: is keeping Plus this tight a strategy to make upgrading feel inevitable?

I'm testing with Sol 6.1 Ultra today. The $200 weekly subscription quota gives me about 25 hours of usage, which means the current quota is roughly a quarter of what it used to be.

Does no one care that the 20x subscription is becoming 10x starting next month? Even with the current 20x subscription, using Astra can burn through 35%+ of the weekly quota in a single day. If the quota is halved, it won't even last two days, and even too many resets won't help.

Why isn't the weekly quota on my old Pro X20 even enough to use GPT-6 Astra for two or three days? I think this is unreasonable—we shouldn't have to worry about running out of quota when using the latest models.

Ran through the Pro 20x weekly limit in less than 36hrs while using Sol 6.1 on High 🤷‍♂️ Seems like it doesn’t make a difference using Astra or Sol, both are consuming tokens too fast which results in weekly limits being used in a 1-2days.

Thumbs down on the new context optimization. Pro plan using Astra to plan and optimize some CAM operations on a part. 1 task - consumed 90% of my weekly limit, and still didn’t finish. For comparison, with Fable on the equivalent plan it is able to complete the task in ~10%.

For Pro 20x users, a reasonable 5-hour limit and 2× the weekly quota would be better. Few hit the 5-hour cap, but many exhaust the weekly quota. I only switch from Codex to Claude or DeepSeek when I run out—and that's a hassle. This could improve OpenAI's user retention.

I've been GPT/Codex user for years, never even tried other AI before. But usage costs are terrible, my weekly runs out in 2 days (6.1 Sol medium/high). Just a week ago I tried Claude and after almost full week I still have 10% left. If not for resets, Codex would be unusable.
